\nOn 21 September 2025<\/strong>, in Forte dei Marmi (Lucca), researchers in preventive medicine together with experts in organic, biodynamic and agroecological agriculture will gather to present the latest scientific findings linking human health with nutrition and the environment. The event, titled \u201cMother Earth: Laboratories on Humanity, Environment and Health\u201d, is supported by CNR\u2011IBBA, the Tuscany Region, the municipalities of Quarrata, Bientina and Carmignano, and the ARTOI Foundation. Environmental associations, organic farming organisations, public institutions and research bodies will join forces for this important meeting.<\/p>\n

A new alliance<\/h3>\n

The initiative promotes a renewed alliance among farmers committed to responsible cultivation, citizens who make conscious food choices, and the scientific community that provides essential knowledge and tools. Public institutions are called to support this vision, aimed at building a sustainable food system that protects human health, respects the environment and preserves soil fertility as a common good for future generations. It is both a challenge and an extraordinary opportunity to redefine our relationship with the Earth and with life itself.<\/p>\n

Between self\u2011care and care for the world<\/h3>\n

Today, personal well\u2011being cannot be separated from the well\u2011being of the planet. Body, environment, nutrition and awareness are deeply interconnected. This understanding shapes the programme of the three laboratories scheduled at Alpemare in Forte dei Marmi on 21 September.<\/p>\n

1. \u201cThe Wonder of the Human Body\u201d<\/h3>\n

This laboratory invites participants to rediscover the human body not as a mere biological machine but as a living expression of Nature. Cardiologist Alessandro Pingitore will explore the human being as part of the natural web, while Giosu\u00e8 Catapano will delve into the complexity of breathing. Nutrition experts Michele Riefoli and Stefania Capecchi will illustrate how dietary choices influence health and even genetic expression. Osteopath Tommaso Ferroni and Fabio Brucini will guide participants through the harmony between body, mind and spirit.<\/p>\n

2. \u201cHumans, Environment and Health\u201d<\/h3>\n

This laboratory broadens the perspective from the individual to the planet.<\/p>\n

Topics include functional nutrition with Vincenzo Longo, and agriculture, biodiversity and Earth\u2019s rhythms with Carlo Triarico.<\/p>\n

Innovative approaches such as ristoceutics and enriched bio\u2011foods will show how scientific innovation can meet tradition, highlighting the role of microorganisms, microbiota and citrus fruits as allies for health, culture and sustainability.<\/p>\n

3. \u201cHow Do I Prevent Cancer?\u201d<\/h3>\n

This session addresses a sensitive and widely felt topic with a proactive and positive approach. Prevention emerges as a concrete path grounded in awareness, healthy eating, physical activity and vascular health. Experts Massimo Bonucci, Francesca Andreazzoli, Leonardo Ercolini and other professionals in movement, nutrition and health innovation will guide the discussion.<\/p>\n

A unified message<\/em><\/h4>\n

Three laboratories, three complementary perspectives, one shared message: health is an art cultivated daily through conscious choices and deep respect for life in all its forms.<\/p>\n

Carlo Triarico, president of the Italian Biodynamic Association, highlights the importance of gathering those who have long worked to promote an agricultural model that protects people, soil and the environment. He emphasises the association\u2019s strategic collaborations with farmers, institutions, local communities and economic actors, aimed at spreading sustainable and regenerative practices, improving food quality, preserving biodiversity and raising awareness about agriculture as a foundation of collective well\u2011being. The event will also present the Innovazionebio project approved by MASAF.<\/p>\n

A space for dialogue<\/em><\/h4>\n

In a world where food quality is central to human and planetary health, \u201cMother Earth\u201d aims to highlight scientific progress demonstrating the deep interconnection between diet, health and ecosystems. Through dialogue among experts, researchers, farmers and citizens, the event will offer insights into how our food choices directly influence our lives and the future of the environment.<\/p>\n

The photographic exhibition<\/em><\/h4>\n

Event creator Tina Gori, president of the Progetto Uomo Ambiente association, explains that the initiative inspired a photographic exhibition titled \u201cFrom the Alps to the Sea\u201d. The exhibition will showcase spectacular images of mountain landscapes\u2014from the Apuan Alps to other iconic peaks\u2014and the wonders of the sea. Photographs by renowned national and international artists (Stefano Cerbai, Giovanni Fatighenti, Alessandro Giannaccini, Fabio Muzzi, Denis Palbiani, Francesco Visentin) will highlight the richness of Italian landscapes. \u201cMother Earth\u201d thus becomes an event that unites science, art and love for nature, encouraging a deeper respect for the planet and promoting organic, biodynamic and agroecological agriculture as essential first steps.<\/p>\n
